Welcome to my blog. I believe that daily communion with Jesus draws us closer to Him. He says, "Draw close to Me and I will draw close to you." (James 4:8)

His Mercies Endure Forever (2 Chronicles 5:13)
Find Jesus and you will find His mercy.
The Lord has placed a person on my heart who has been involved in drug addiction, alcohol, maybe prostitution and other things.
This is a great source of stress, frustration, anger, fear and heartache for his parents.
As I sought the Lord, He showed me His great mercy that endures for ever.
While listening for the Holy Spirit's guidance, Jesus gave me this word for him, “I am not angry with you. I am not disappointed in you. I
still love you. I want you to come to Me and allow Me to love you and
heal your soul.”
Growing up in a domination that preached Hell, fire and damnation, I believed that I was a sinner beyond redemption. If I could not get it right I believed Jesus would not forgive me and that God was waiting to send me to Hell.
I had to have a major paradigm shift in order to begin thinking that Jesus truly loved me and was wanting to set me free from all this condemning thinking.
The lies I had heard
preached all these years caused guilt, shame and fear. However; the Word
clearly says otherwise. Jesus died for my sins. The moment I accepted Him as my
Lord and Savior, I was forgiven, changed into His new creation. I have been born again. This time I was born into the family of God. I am God's beloved child.
When the Word tells us that if we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God our Father, we are saved (forgiven, healed, delivered, He will never leave us, set free from the law of sin and death) and He means it.
Every time I see in the Word that Jesus bore my sins, I believe Jesus accomplished it on the cross. I confess Christ’s forgiveness with my mouth, and with taking communion I proclaim His death and all He accomplished on the cross until He comes again.
This means I am forgiven and set free, restored to a right relationship with my heavenly Father to the glory of God.
My loving heavenly Father is not sitting on His throne with a whip ready
to beat me each time I miss the mark. He loves me and guides me on the level I
am ready to believe. He meets me where I am. His mercies (love, kindness and forgiveness) endures forever. His mercy is available to all who come to Christ.
If you struggle with these condemning thoughts of guilt, and shame, come to
Jesus. According to Romans 8:1 there is
no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus and walk in His ways.
If you have Jesus in your heart,
rejoice! Praise Him and thank Him for setting you free. You are forgiven. Glory
to God! Amen.
Blessings on your day!

This is the day the Lord has made. (Psalm 118:24)
“This [day in which God
has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in
it.” (Psalm 118:24 AMP)
For He says, “At the acceptable time (the time of grace) I
listened to you, and I helped you on the day of
salvation.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of
salvation.” (2 Corinthians 2:6 AMP)
When
we are in Christ, each day is a new day to discover something new about our Savior and the salvation He is offering us. We do not have to die to receive all of the salvation Christ provided for us. Once we accept Christ as our Savior, we become God's eternal child. Jesus came to give us abundant life and it begins the moment we accept Christ.
According
to http://www.theopedia.com/salvation,
Salvation [1] refers to the act of God's grace in delivering His people from
bondage to sin and condemnation, transferring them to the kingdom of His
beloved Son (Col. 1:13), and giving them eternal life (Romans 6:23)—all on the
basis of what Christ accomplished in His atoning sacrifice. The Bible says we
are saved by grace through faith; and that not of ourselves, it is the gift
of God (Ephesians 2:8).
We just have to accept His gift to be set free from any bondage we are under; depression, poverty, sickness, whatever you need. Jesus is the deliverer. Ask!
The
Greek word soteria means salvation."… [And salvation] includes
past, present, and the future. As Christians, we were saved from the penalty of
sin when God brought us to faith in Christ; we are presently being saved from
the power of sin as we confess our sins and believe they are forgiven through Christ.
This
is the day the Lord has made. It is our day of salvation, deliverance from the
effects of sin. (Deuteronomy 28:16-67) and blessing us with all spiritual blessings. (Deuteronomy 28:1-15) Hallelujah! I choose to rejoice and be glad in it. Today is a
glorious day!
I
partake of communion with my Savior because today is the day of salvation.
Amen!
Blessings on your day!

Romans 8:6 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
Are you carnally minded or spiritual minded?
To be carnally minded, according to the Greek Lexicon, is going after strange flesh, immorality, the
corrupt nature of man, subject to filthy appetites and passions.
To be spiritually minded
is to seek the God kind of life, Zoe. This is only brought about by God’s mercy,
granting deliverance and freedom from all the distresses that are experienced
as a result of sin.
This is the Messianic
blessing that comes through the grace and mercy of God where the stresses of life caused by sin are removed. Hence, the message of salvation
is called the Gospel of peace, the peace He gives, the peace of God. It is the
peace that is only found in Christ. Do you know Him as your peace?
(John 14:27 AMP) Jesus said, “Peace I
leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I
give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My
perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength
for every challenge.]”
1 Peter 5:7 tells us that
it is by “casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all
your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest
affection, and watches over you very carefully]."
God is on your side. Trust Him to take care of your situation, your family, business, your church, or whatever your needs are. .
Partake of communion today giving all your cares to Jesus. He can handle both the big stuff and the small stuff if you will just give it over to Him.
Blessings on your day!

Life or death, our choice (Proverbs 18:21)
If you were given the
choice of life or death, would you choose life or death?
That may sound like a
ludicrous question, but according to the Bible, we choose death more often than
we choose life.
Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the
tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Here the word power means
to deliver something into ones hands, (H#3027) or to place the responsibility for the outcome on that person.
Deuteronomy 30:19 tells
us that God has placed this law into our hands. In other words He has given us the responsibility to carry it out and all of heaven and earth must
obey us, good or bad. “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have
set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life,
that both you and your descendants may live.”
God gives us the instructions
for life in Proverbs 4:20, 22, “My son, attend to My words; incline your ear
unto My sayings…For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all
their flesh.”
To choose life, our words must align with the word of God. When we say things like, "I get the flu every year whether or not I take the flue shot," you will get the flu. You have aligned your words against the word of God which says, "By His stripes you were healed." (1 Peter 2:24) and "He sent His word and healed them." (Psalm 107:20)
Rather say something like, "By the power of the Word of God in me, I will not get the flue. According to God's word, no weapon formed against me shall prosper because by the stripes of Jesus I have already been healed." (Psalm 91, 1 Peter 2)
According to Job 22::28, when we declare a thing (with our tongue) it will come to pass and God will shine Hie light on its path.
When the Beatles were asked if they would ever leave show business, John replied, "Unless I get shot or something." His last album released after his death was "Borrowed Time" where he says, "Living on borrowed time without thought for tomorrow."
Jordan Runtagh wrote an article called, "10 Music Legends Who
Eerily Predicted Their Own Death" where he lists albums, songs and quotes talking about their deaths.
Luke 6:45 says, “A good
man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and
an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is
evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
The power of our words will
destroy us or give us life. It is our choice. Since God has made this a law, it is as true
as the law of gravity. Just as we do not have the choice to obey the law of gravity, we do
not have the choice as to whether we live by our words. However; we do have the choice
of what words we choose to live by.
Dear heavenly Father,
As I eat of this bread I ask for Your Spirit to dwell within me. I ask You to speak Your words through me so the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart will be acceptable to You, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
I drink of the blood of
the Lamb of God who has taken away my sin and restored me back to You. Amen!
Blessings on your day!

In Him was life (John 1:4-5)
There is a lot of dooms
day talk these days. If we are not careful we will become afraid.
Let us look
into the word of God to find our solution.
Through out the New
Testament we are told to, “Fear not.”
In 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) God’s
word says, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear,
but [He has given us His Spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and
personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and
self-control].”
Fear is a demonic spirit
and it is not from God. He has given us His Holy Spirit through which we
receive His power to trample on demons, walk in love and have the mind of
Christ to walk in peace.
Look at John 1:4-5 (AMP).
“In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of
men. The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand
it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].”
When we take the
authority of the name of Jesus against the devil and his plans, denying him
access to our life and our nation, the devil’s plans-no matter how well
planned, will fail. Because life and death is in the power of our tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)
We are the carriers of
the light of Christ. When we stand on the word of God in love, the power of the
Holy Spirit in us gives us the mind and ability to overcome this present
darkness.
Another scripture the
Lord brought to me is Psalm 91:10 (ICB).
“Nothing bad will happen to you. No disaster will come to your home.”
As believers, when we
submit to God through Jesus Christ, we dwell in the secret place, the hiding place of the Most
High. (Psalm 91:1) The light of Christ within us will then overtake the darkness (evil schemes)
and the enemy will not know what happened.
Decree and declare, “Let
the enemy be confused in the name of Jesus!” Amen!
As we commune with Jesus today praise Him for giving us access to the secret place of the Most High God through the new covenant in His blood.
Blessings on your day!

God our Father, our Daddy (Matthew 6:9)
Jesus introduced us to Abba
Father or Daddy in the Lord’s Prayer when Jesus said to pray “Our Father which
art in heaven...”
He used the Greek word Patera, meaning daddy or papa.
Many of us have not known what it
means to have a loving, caring father. The word father to me is formal and
distant. But Daddy indicates to me someone who loves me. I’m a daddy’s girl.
He thinks I’m the greatest. I feel loved, protected and cared for. It reminds me
of being a little girl in my daddy’s arms.
Today I encourage you to meditate
on God as your Daddy. As believers we are Daddy’s beloved children.
This is the first word Hebrew
children learn. It is a wonderfully affectionate, intimate name we use to
embrace our loving and adoring Father.
(Mark 10:13-16) Just as Jesus wraps His
arms around the little children and rebukes His disciples for trying to shoo
them away, our Daddy will do the same for us as we come to Him. He will not allow anyone to push us away.
Each of us has a child-like-place
within us that only our loving Father can satisfy. It’s that vulnerable part
where we long to be held and hugged as we lay our head on His shoulder.
While meditating on your Heavenly
Daddy bring the child in you to Him and cry out for His affection. (Ephesians 3:14-20) Cling to Him
as a child holds onto their father when needing the assurance of love and
security.
Our Heavenly Daddy is the One our hearts yearn
for and nothing or no one else can ever fill this longing that is deep within
our souls.
Bring out the child inside of you.
Sing Him a love song or make Him a picture. Embrace Him as your loving Daddy.
Daddy is the language of sons and
daughters. If you did not have a loving father you may have a feeling of
abandonment or have felt like an orphan. If so, allow your Heavenly Daddy to heal those deep
wounds. Feel secure in His arms.
During communion today thank Him for sending Jesus so that we can have this intimate love
relationship with our Heavenly Daddy. Amen!
Blessings on your day!

Amen! (Romans 16:20)
“In the name of Jesus, Amen!” has become so
common we use it like a cliché, and tack it on just because we have been taught
to do so. However; there is great power
in both the name of Jesus and the Amen.
When we pray in the name
of Jesus, we are presenting our request to our heavenly Father who gives all
good things based on the uncompromising word and the name of Jesus for which everything and
everyone must bow. His name stands in the presence of Almighty God in our
place.
According to John 14:13 (NIV) “Whatever you ask in My name (the Name of
Jesus), I will do it so the shining-greatness (the glory) of the Father may be seen
in the Son.”
Luke 12:32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s
good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.”
It is living in the Kingdom of God, allowing God to rule our lives that we find Shalom: nothing missing, nothing broken, the abundant life
Jesus came to give us,.(John 10:10) God only has good things to give to His children.
The power of the name of
Jesus and faith in His name guarantees God will answer our prayer according to
His purpose. It is His good pleasure. He enjoys answering our prayers.
Amen means “So be it,
truly.” It is also rendered "truly, truly or verily, verily."
When we say Amen we are
coming into agreement with God’s word and the power of the name of Jesus. This
is why we can, “(in) all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believe, and
you shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22)
When we base our prayers on the word of God we can and should expect to see our prayers answered!
You might say, “I have
prayed and believed, but God did not answer.”
I have learned that God’s
answers are not in my timing, and often not the way I expected.
Remember, Jesus was the
long awaited Messiah, but the Jews did not recognize Him because they were
looking for another King David to lead them out from under Roman rule rather than our eternal Savior.
Watch for your answer and do not limit God in the way you expect him to answer. Then look further into the scriptures to
see how to wait.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 (NLV)
gives us the answer. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not
trust in your own understanding. Agree (Amen) with Him in all your ways,
and He will make your paths straight.”
“Wait on the Lord. Be of
good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm
27:14)
Trusting Him in the wait is having faith in Jesus’ name, the word of God and His promise to fulfill His word..
In the mean time I must fill
my mind with the word to see what God is saying about my situation. Then I have to stand on it
and not waver. This is not an easy task. I find that I need to build up my faith. The longer the wait the more I need to build it up.
“Then faith comes by hearing
(the word). And hearing (comes) by the word (Rhema, understanding or
revelation) of God (and His word) .” (Romans 10:17)
Seek His perspective. Allow the Holy Spirit to impart understanding. Meditate and listen. Be still before Him.
So, when we say Amen!, we
are coming into agreement by declaration of the word and affirmation of our
belief in the word as well as The Name of Jesus.
Celebrate the fact that Jesus has given us His name so that we can come boldly before our heavenly Father and make our request known, knowing He will answer us according to His word. Amen!
Blessings on your day!

Nothing can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39)
Romans 8:38 begins with “I am convinced…” Convinced: means to
be completely certain about something. When we are convinced
about something, nothing will change our mind.
“For I am convinced [and
continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to
come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able
to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39 AMP)
Recently we buried a
beloved aunt. She was always kind and her faith was steadfast, no matter what
she went through. I miss her, but my memories of her are precious and
reassuring that I will see her again one day.
Her grandson preached her
funeral from Romans 8:38 reminding us that if we belong to God through Jesus
the Christ, then nothing will ever separate us from our love-relationship with
our loving Father.
God’s love reaches each
of us through the cross of Christ. This love is unfathomable and can only be
received through believing in Jesus and the finished work He accomplished on
the cross. (John 3:16-18) It is never-ending. He never withdraws His love because we mess up.
He loves us because He chooses to love us, not because we are good enough.
If you are in need of
love today, Jesus’ love will fill you in ways no man or woman can. Just ask Him.
If you already know Him,
take some time and ask Him to fill you with more of His love. Sometimes
we just need a special hug from someone who loves us to remind us that we are loved.
His unearned love is
freely offered to everyone who will believe and receive Jesus as Lord and
Savior.
If you do not know Jesus
as your savior, I encourage you to invite Him into your heart and celebrate the
eternal love-life He gives you when you receive Him as Savior.
Communion is like that.
It is when we take time to communicate with the lover of our soul. We love on Him as He loves on us.

Jesus is our advocate with the Father (1 John 2: 1)
Today we meet Jesus as our advocate.
“My little
children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin,
we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” (1 John 2:1)
Advocate means
"intercessor." He comes along side of us as our lawyer and presents
our cause to The Honorable God, and Judge.
Imagine yourself entering
the courtroom of heaven. There is splendor and great beauty. The minute you
walk in you since awe and power. You understand your life hangs in
the balance and Almighty God determines your out-come, you fate.
This is overwhelming and
you understand that in yourself you do not have a chance of being acquitted.
You need your lawyer. You need Jesus.
What is your cause and
what is your evidence?
Your cause is what you are asking, or expressing as your need?
Your evidence is your
faith, (Hebrews 11:1) “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen.”
Another word for evidence
is confidence. When we are confident that God will perform His Word, we have
faith in Him, and in His word. This is our evidence. How persuasive is your evidence? According to James 1: 6-8, if you are double-minded, you can not expect to receive from God.
“But let
him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the
sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall
receive anything of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways”.(James 1:6-8)
So, when you are in need
or have a problem, come to God by entering the courts of heaven with praise and thanksgiving in the name of
Jesus and allow Jesus to present your case before Almighty God along with your
evidence.
This is a prayer of supplication.
(Philippians 4:6) “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer
and supplication (petition) with thanksgiving let your requests be made
known unto God.”
Psalm 100:4 tells us to “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give
thanks to Him and praise His name.”
We are not allowed access into His courtroom by just wondering into His presence. Think about going to the local courthouse. The gates are guarded. You have to pass inspection before entering.
He is our Holy God. Honor His name, His
presence. Reverence Him. Hallow His name. Show Him the greatest respect.
Find scripture that says Jesus has provided what you need and go to God with His word and your confidence in His word.
(Isaiah 55:11) “So My Word which goes from My mouth will not return to Me empty. It will do what I want it to do, and will carry out My plan well.”
Send His word back to Him. Then rejoice in Jesus as your advocate as He presents the evidence for your case to the Honorable Judge, your God. Be confident of the outcome that is according to His word. His word is His promise and all His promises are yes and so-be-it. Amen!
Blessings on your day!

Jesus, our Salvation (John 3:16-18)
Let me introduce you to
Jesus, our Savior. He is the one anointed and sent by God to buy back His
people from the clutches of Satan. He is the Messiah, the Christ.
For many years I was taught that if I asked Jesus into my heart I would go to heaven when I died. That is true. However; John10:10 tells us that Jesus came to give us abundant life - here on earth and it
will continue through out eternity.
For many years I was taught that if I asked Jesus into my heart I would go to heaven when I died. That is true. However; John
Let us look at the
Bible's description of abundant life that Jesus offers.
Isaiah 53:4-6 “He
has borne our grief’s (He will take our grief if we ask Him), And He has carried our sorrows
and pains (He will take away our sorrow and pain)…He was wounded for our
transgressions (where we violated God’s commandments), He was crushed for our
wickedness (our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing); He was pierced for our
transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities (gross wickedness); the
punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are
healed."
2 Corinthians 8:9 (AMP)
says "…though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that by His
poverty you might become rich (abundantly blessed).”
The Hebrew term for this
is Shalom - nothing missing, nothing broken. God does not desire nor expect His children to be broke, busted, disgusted, defeated and depleted. Jesus paid a very high price for us not to live that way.
The definition of
salvation in the Old Testament is the same as in the New, except in the new it
is received by faith in Christ Jesus as opposed to works of the law and it is inclusive
for all eternity.
The word for Salvation in
the Old Testament is Yeshua and in English it is the word Jesus.
The abundant life is summed
up in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in
health, just as your soul prospers.” As our soul (mind, will and emotions)
prospers, we begin to think the way Jesus thinks) and the rest will follow. This is a restatement of Matthew 6:33, “But seek
first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
According to Colossians
1:13 the moment we accept Jesus as our savior God delivers us from the power of
Satan and translates us out of Satan’s domain and places us into Jesus’ kingdom.
It is like “Beam me up Scotty” from Star Trek. Boom! We are in the Kingdom of God..
However; Romans 12:2 tell
us our soul (mind, will and emotions) has to be renewed. “Do not conform to the
pattern of this world (the world's way of thinking), but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then
you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and
perfect will.” Knowing and doing His will is His righteousness which is walking in love,
joy, [inner] peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self-control.(Galatians 5:22) This can only be accomplished by the Holy Spirit living in us.
If Jesus is your Savior, celebrate communion today with Jesus the Christ who has delivered you from the devil’s clutches. He has set you free from evil and has already transformed you into His Kingdom. Amen!
If Jesus is your Savior, celebrate communion today with Jesus the Christ who has delivered you from the devil’s clutches. He has set you free from evil and has already transformed you into His Kingdom. Amen!

Jesus, the name above all names (Philippians 2:9)
Today we
begin studying the names of Jesus. Just as the names of God reveals His nature,
character and attributes, so too the names of Jesus reveal the Messiah to us.
The
lyrics to the song Jesus, Name Above All Names says it well. Take a few moments
and meditate on these proclamations of Jesus.
Jesus,
name above all names
Beautiful
Savior, glorious Lord.
Emmanuel,
God is with us.
Blessed
Redeemer, Living word
Father
God bestowed the name of Jesus (Yeshua, in Hebrew) with its meaning of “the
Salvation of God” on His beloved Son. Jesus is His name, and this name is the
person of Jesus Himself. He is the Word of God, and He is the written Word of
God. They are inseparable. Think on this. It may be deeper than you first
think.
In Philippians 2:9-11 (AMP)
Paul tells us that “He (Jesus) humbled Himself by becoming obedient [to the
Father] to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also
[because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God has highly exalted
Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at
the name of Jesus every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in
heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and
openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of
God the Father.”
Jesus is the most
powerful name in all existence. At His name all the angels in heaven, all the
demons in hell and every creature, man or beast will bow to the King of kings.
Many say they will not
bow to Jesus the Christ, but there will come a time where there will be no
choice. His Kingdom is being established on the earth, but at His return it will
be completely fulfilled.
As you partake of
communion today ponder these things in your heart. Then praise Him and
celebrate His name.
As a believer in
Jesus, He has given us His name. Our name belongs to Jesus and His belongs to
us. The more we know and experience Jesus, the more we become like Him. Amen!
Blessings on your day!

Jehovah- Shammah, The God who is there (Ezekiel 48:35)
Today we meet Jehovah Shammah. This is the
last name of God revealed through the Old Testament prophets. It means God is there or at that place.
Through this name He is promising to rebuild His Kingdom and establish His presence for our today's, and tomorrow's. He is building His eternal Kingdom day by day through His presence with His people .
This name is both comforting and exciting because, “I am convinced and confident of this
very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect
and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].” (Philippians 1:6) He
promises to bring us into His glory, His eternal Kingdom.
In Hebrews 13:5 God said,
“Never will I leave
you; never will I forsake you.” This is a quote from
Deuteronomy 31:6 and it admonishes us to, “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in
dread before them (the enemy), for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not
fail you or abandon you.”
God became flesh and dwelt among us through Jesus, and He continues to be with us through His Holy Spirit who now resides in us, in our bodies which is the temple of the living God.
We understand from Revelation 13:8 that Jesus was slain before
the earth was created. He is and always will be. He is the Alpha and the Omega,
the beginning and the end. He will never cease to exist.
No matter what you are going through today be assured God,
Jehovah Shammah is with you through His Holy Spirit. Lean on Him. Cast your cares on Him. Be still and
know that He is here. Give Him your heart. Give Him your life. Trust Him. He is
here.
Partake of communion this day with the assurance that Jesus is always with you. He will never leave you! Amen!
Blessings on your day!

Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord is my Banner (Exodus 17:15)
This morning we meet God
as Jehovah Nissi.
This name of God is first introduced in Exodus 17:15, “And Moses
built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner”.
Jehovah is derived from
the Hebrew word “Havah” meaning "to be," "to exist," and suggests
"to become" or specifically "to become known." He never
changes and He wants us to know Him by name. (See Psalm 91:14)
The Lord is my banner probably referred to lifting up of the rod of God as their standard, believing the presence and power
of Jehovah would go before them in battle with the conviction that the Lord God would given them the victory.
In Psalm 91:2 “…the Lord
is my refuge (banner),” we learn we are covered by El Shaddai and we declare and decree
the battle is won because God is our Jehovah Nissi, our banner.
Banner also means standard or rallying point. This is a military term. The definition of
standard is the morals, ethics, and acceptable behavior established by those having authority.
When we go to battle we align ourselves
with the standards of God always remembering who we are fighting, “For our
struggle is not against flesh and blood, [contending only with physical opponents],
but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present]
darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural)
places.” (Ephesians 6:12 AMP)
In the Song of Songs 2:4 (AMP)
God tells me that “He has brought me to His banqueting table,
And His banner over me is
love [waving overhead to protect and comfort me].”
Jehovah Nissi is the One we go to as our place of refuge, our hiding place.
Do you need protection,
comforting, direction and love today? Go into the secret place, the presence of
God, and call on Jehovah Nissi. (See John 14:26, the characteristics of the Holy Spirit)
Rrejoice in communion
today as you come to His banqueting table because Jesus has given us complete access to our God as Jehovah Nissi. Amen!
Blessings on your day!
