“He who believes in Me, ...out of his heart will Flow Rivers of living water.” (John 7:38 NKJV)

I had been reading a small book on releasing your angels to minister to you and for you. He took me back to Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

The words we love are the words that come from our emotions, out of our belly. We can decree all day long, but until they come out of our heart they do not produce.

In this book the author shows in Psalm 103:20 (NKJV), “Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.

The angels of God respond to His word. When we decree His word from our heart we release God’s angels over us to work for us and through us.

Next,  the Lord began to teach me another truth from His word. Satan is always trying to imitate God. He disguises himself as an angel of light. When Moses was before Pharaoh, the first several demonstrations of God’s power were imitated by the devil’s magicians. God’s power always prevailed over the magicians. But the devil is still trying to deceive us with his magic tricks.

When the Lord showed me this He told me that when we speak death and curse words we are releasing the demons from hell to work their magic.

Remember Deuteronomy 30:19 where God says, “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;”

It is here the devil gets the right to move on our negative words.

Another word the Lord reminded me of is, Luke 4:18 a, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to …heal the brokenhearted…”

Scripture tells us that our heart is in our belly and out of it flows a river of life. (John 7:38)

By this we can also surmise that out of it can also flow rivers of death. Therefore it is imperative that our hearts be healed in order for us to choose life with our words, (Deuteronomy 30:19) because out of our hearts we speak.

Our heart is ruled by our emotions; grief and sorrow (John 14:1, joy (John 16:22), desires (Matthew 5:28), affections (Luke 24:32), perceptions (john 12:40), thoughts (Matthew 9:4), understanding (Matthew 13:15), reasoning (Mark 2:6), imagination (Luke 1:51), conscience (Acts 2:37), intentions (Hebrews 4:12) purpose (Acts 11:23), will (Romans 6:17) and faith (Mark 11:23).

These can only be holy if we submit them to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We do this in prayer allowing the Holy Spirit to search our hearts and confessing the sin He reveals to us.

I encourage you today to open up your heart to the Lord asking Him to search your heart. In this we are examining ourselves before partaking of communion. This is judging ourselves, lest we be judged. It is not beating yourself up. It is allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal areas of your life that you have not submitted to His Lordship.Once you repent you are worthy to receive His body and His blood without condemnation.

Then spent time praising God for His marvelous love and mercy for bringing you into covenant with Him through Christ. Praise God and celebrate all God has done for you. Amen!

Blessings on your day!

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart…" (Deuteronomy 6:5; Luke 10:27)

If we can keep the first two commandments, Jesus says we keep all the commandments. The first thing we need to understand is that the word Love used here is not the understanding we westerners mean when we say love.

This is Agape, or the God kind of love. This love is described in both 1 Corinthians 13, and Galatians 5:22-23.

Look at Galatians 5:22-23 (NET) "The fruit of the Spirit is love; joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

This is how God treats us and it is how we are to treat others as we are filled and led by His Holy Spirit.

Let’s put it in the vernacular: Give each other some slack! This includes God and ourselves.

I find the hardest person to give some slack to is myself. I also realized I have a hard time giving God the same.

The word says that, “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NKJV)

This is the by-product of being patient with God. I can tell when I am not “loving God“ this way. I get tired, weary and want to give up.

I am so thankful that He never gives up on me.

Thank You Jesus for Your everlasting love and that nothing can ever separate us from Your love. Amen!

Blessings on your day!

In Him was life (John 1:4-5)

There is a lot of dooms day talk these days. If we are not careful we will become afraid.

Let us look into the word of God to find our solution.

Through out the New Testament we are told to, “Fear not.”

In 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) God’s word says, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us His Spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”

Fear is a demonic spirit and it is not from God. He has given us His Holy Spirit through which we receive His power to trample on demons, walk in love and have the mind of Christ to walk in peace.

Look at John 1:4-5 (AMP). “In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].”

When we take the authority of the name of Jesus against the devil and his plans, denying him access to our life and our nation, the devil’s plans-no matter how well planned, will fail. Because life and death is in the power of our tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)

We are the carriers of the light of Christ. When we stand on the word of God in love, the power of the Holy Spirit in us gives us the mind and ability to overcome this present darkness.

Another scripture the Lord brought to me is Psalm 91:10 (ICB).  “Nothing bad will happen to you. No disaster will come to your home.”

As believers, when we submit to God through Jesus Christ, we dwell in the secret place, the hiding place of the Most High. (Psalm 91:1) The light of Christ within us will then overtake the darkness (evil schemes) and the enemy will not know what happened.

Decree and declare, “Let the enemy be confused in the name of Jesus!” Amen!

As we commune with Jesus today praise Him for giving  us access to the secret place of the Most High God through the new covenant in His blood.

Blessings on your day!

What is in a name? Ephesians 1:21

Before we continue with the names of God, we need to grow in our understanding of a Biblical perspective of The Name.

In Ephesians 1:21, everything in all of creation, including the demonic powers, are under subjection to the Name of Jesus.God has bestowed great power in believers using the name of Jesus.

According to the Greek Lexicon #3688, the word for name represents the character, fame, reputation, authority, and dignity of that name. It is used as the substitute and representation of a person, or for the person, himself. It gives importance to the confession of the name for the sake of the person being confessed.

For instance: to be baptized onto someone’s name means to be baptized into the faith and confession of that person. Then, the one baptized will be identified with the character and purpose of the person named.

The Bible talks about being baptized into John’s baptism of repentance. There is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues, and the Baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

When we are baptized in the name of the Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Ghost, we are given the names of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We are now identified with Him and His character.

This name also refers to delegated power and authority.

Jesus instructs us, “As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, and cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” (Matthew 10:7-8) We see this again in Mark 16:17-18.

Because of John 14:13, we can believe God will do, not simply what we ask, but He will do what is conformable to His character and His purpose.

As we learn the names of our God, we are learning to identify with Him and then can stand, believing He will do as He says He will do in His word, because we know it is conformable to His purpose. It is His will. Amen!

Blessings on your day!
